Saudi Arabia scrap shortage seen impacting rebar supply
The Saudi Arabian rebar market is subdued, with some mills not taking new orders and explicitly announcing to clients that supply of rebar will be limited to 80% or less of their quota. The latter point was a rumour last week but has now been confirmed by various participants. This is mainly attributed to limited supply of scrap, Kallanish notes.
