Samarco partners with Vale to fully recover production
Brazilian pellet producer Samarco says it will use iron ore feedstock from Vale. The companies have signed a supply agreement which also involves exchanging mineral reserve areas and joint use of tailings disposal areas, Kallanish learns from the miner. The partnership should help Samarco to resume full production capacity in 2028, two years ahead of schedule.
Samarco is co-owned by Vale and Australia's BHP Billiton.
