Sail supplies 20,000t for Lucknow Metro
Steel Authority of India (Sail) has supplied 20,000 tonnes of rebar, structural steel and plate for the Lucknow Metro, whose first phase is scheduled to be inaugurated on 5 September.
State-owned Sail has so far supplied around 150,000t of steel to Indian metro projects. The latest shipment is for the 8.5km section running between Transport Nagar and Lucknow Charbagh Railway station. Sail says it is ready to supply further sections.
