Sail orders PCI system for BSP blast furnace
Steel Authority of India (Sail) has signed up Danieli Corus to provide a pulverised coal injection system for blast furnace no.4 at the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Kallanish learns from the technology supplier.
BSP’s BF4 has a 1,489-cubic-meter working volume and a design hot metal production capacity of 3,300 tonnes/day. The PCI system is designed for injection rates of up to 150kg/tonne of hot metal.
