SAIL loses money for the ninth consecutive quarter
India’s flagship steelmaker, state-owned SAIL, continues to make a quarterly after-tax loss. The company has reported an increase in total comprehensive losses both year-on-year and, albeit marginally, quarter-on-quarter in the first period of its 2017-18 financial year, Kallanish notes. This is the ninth quarter in a row that it has failed to generate profit.
