Safeguard extension overheats EU market, reduces competitiveness: TCUD
The EU’s safeguard duty extension proposal goes against free trade and will keep EU steel prices elevated, causing the market to overheat in the medium term, says the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD). It adds that it will also make the region’s steel producers accustomed to working under non-competitive conditions.
