Sabic hikes rebar further, billet squeezes mill margins
Saudi Arabian steelmaker Sabic has increased its rebar price for the domestic market by SAR 100/tonne ($27) to SAR 2,100/t ($560) delivered throughout the kingdom, local sources tell Kallanish. This is the producer’s third price hike in the space of a month, but still leaves a very narrow spread between rebar and billet prices, meaning there could yet be another increase.
