Sabic hikes rebar despite scrap, billet downtrend
Saudi Arabian steelmaker Sabic has increased its rebar price for the domestic market to SAR 2,200/tonne ($587) delivered throughout the kingdom, local sources tell Kallanish. This represents a rise of SAR 100/t.
This is the producer’s fourth price hike in the space of two months and comes despite the decline over the last two weeks of scrap and billet prices on the international market.
