Sabic hikes DRI productivity with furnace optimisation system
Sabic has granted a final acceptance certificate to Tenova for the delivery of the direct reduced iron furnace optimisation system at electric arc furnace no.5, Kallanish learns from the technology supplier.
The project has resulted in a 1.42% yield increase, 4.1% productivity increase, 3.23% reduction in electrical consumption and 1.6-minute reduction on Power on Time (PON).
