Saarland mills use hydrogen at Rogesa’s blast furnaces
Dillinger Hütte and Saarstahl are for the first time using hydrogen in blast furnaces in a novel bid to reduce carbon emissions, Kallanish learns from the companies. The two Saarland steelmakers together operate pig iron plant Rogesa, (Roheisengesellschaft Saar), located on the premises in Dillingen, which also feeds the converter of Saarstahl in Völklingen.
