Ryerson's profitability suffers from decreasing steel prices
Chicago, Illinois-based US service centre chain and processor Ryerson's profitability fell during the third quarter despite strong shipments, but it remains up above last year's levels, Kallanish gathers from the company's latest report.
Ryerson earned $55.1 million on sales of $1.54 billion during the third quarter, with shipments totalling 512,000 short tons at an average selling price of $3,014/st for the three-month period.
