Ryerson sees profits fall in 2019
US service centre chain Ryerson saw its profits dip on-year in 2019 despite an overall uptick in sales, Kallanish reports.
Ryerson earned $82.4 million in 2019 on sales of $4.5 billion, down -22.26% and up 2.1%, respectively, from 2018. The company also saw a 5% increase in tons shipped, coupled with a -2.7% drop in average prices.
