Ryerson faces 'counter-cyclical conditions' through Q2
Ryerson Holding reports that it had net earnings of $37.6 million on sales of $1.34 billion for the second quarter of this year. However, the company's revenue and profit fall below last year's results, in both a quarterly and year-to-date comparison.
In the first half of this year, the Chicago-based industrial metals distributor and value-added steel processor earned $84.9m on sales of $2.75 billion.
