Russia’s stainless steel output rebounds in August
Russian production of stainless steel increased in January-August to 184,720 tonnes, up by 27.5% on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat.
In August alone, output reached 32,500t, up 28% on-year and 12.4% more than the previous month.
Leading Russian manufacturers of stainless steel for the period were Red October with a 38% share, Mechel’s Izhstal with 19%, Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant with 18% and Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works…
