Russia’s stainless steel output decreases in June
Russia’s production of stainless steel increased in January-June to 128,000 tonnes, up by 28.1% on-year, show national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish.
However, output in June alone amounted to 18,500t, down 19.1% compared to the previous month. It was nevertheless 4.8% more on-year.
In May alone, stainless production increased by 53.9% on-year to 26,100t. In April output was 24,300t, up by 49.5% (see Kallanish passim).
