Russia’s stainless steel imports continue to grow
Russia increased imports of stainless steel in October, according to national special steel association USSA. Imports amounted to 32,860 tonnes, up by 19.9% compared with the previous month but down -11.9% on-year, Kallanish notes.
In September these imports were 25,670t, up by 7.7% compared with August (see Kallanish passim).
October imports of stainless cold rolled flat products increased by 29.8% on-month to 15,680t and hot rolled flats rose by 1.3% to 6,580t.…
