Russia’s stainless steel consumption decreases in January-September

Russia’s real consumption of stainless steel decreased in January-September, according to national special steel association USSA. It amounted to 394,370 tonnes, down by 36.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. Consumption of hot rolled flats in January-September increased by 57.1%, welded pipe by 13.5% and seamless pipe by 2.2%. However, consumption of stainless cold rolled flat steel decreased by 5.8%, of long products by 10.6%, wire by 45.7% and billet by 27.4%.…
