Russia’s stainless output declines in August
Russia’s production of stainless steel decreased in January-August, show national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish.
Output amounted to 136,800 tonnes, down by 4.1% on-year. In August alone Russian steelmakers produced 17,900t of stainless steel, down by 3.1% on-year.
In July Russian steelmakers produced 18,100t of stainless steel, up by 9.1% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
