Russia’s stainless imports rebound on-month despite war
Russia’s imports of stainless steel scrap increased in January-April, despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine altering market trading patterns, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia’s stainless intake in the first four mounts of the year amounted to 139,940 tonnes, up by 17% on-year, Kallanish notes. In April alone stainless imports amounted to 28,220t, up by 1.1% on-month, but down 9.7% on-year.
