Russia’s stainless exports fall, imports increase
Russia’s exports of stainless steel scrap increased in January-July, says national special steel association USSA.
Shipments amounted to 69,601 tonnes, up by 13.6% on-year, Kallanish notes.
However, Russia’s exports of stainless steel products in the first seven months of the year decreased by 4% to 7,318t. In July alone, shipments amounted to 1,589t, down by 12.2% on-year, but 74.6% more compared to June.
