Russia’s stainless exports fall, stainless scrap shipments surge
Russia’s exports of stainless steel continued to decrease in January-November, says national special steel association USSA.
Shipments amounted to 11,265 tonnes, down by 6% on-year, Kallanish notes. In November alone, shipments were 1,019t, down 4.7%.
Stainless steel products were exported last month mostly to India, whose share in total volume is 26.1%, followed by Ukraine with 18.8%, Uzbekistan with 13.4%, Bangladesh with 11.2% and Poland with 10.1%.
