Russia’s stainless exports fall, stainless scrap shipments increase
Russia’s exports of stainless steel decreased in January-October, says national special steel association USSA.
Shipments amounted to 10,247 tonnes, down by 7% on-year, Kallanish notes. In October alone, shipments were 1,544t, down 32.9%.
Stainless steel products were exported last month mostly to Uzbekistan, whose share in the total volume is 15.9%, followed by Poland with 14.2%, Ukraine with 13.8% and India with 13.4%.
