Russia’s May stainless imports decrease, higher on-year
Russian imports of stainless steel decreased in May compared with April, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to 46,250 tonnes, down by 10.3% on-month, but was the May figure was up by 25.3% on-year, Kallanish notes.
In April, Russian intake was 51,543t, up by 29% on-year (see Kallanish passim). The figure was a new record for one month, USSA claims.
