Container shortages to hike Russian stainless prices: association
Russian stainless steel imports were hampered in January by the container shortage, and supply problems are expected to drive up prices going forward, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia decreased imports of stainless steel in January to 26,490 tonnes, down by 25.7% on-year, Kallanish notes.
In December these imports were 35,650t, up by 7.8% compared with the previous month but down 7.3% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
