Russia’s HRC output increases, semis fall in May
Russian production of hot rolled coil in May amounted to 1.84 million tonnes, up by 2% compared to April and 12.6% on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat.
In January-May, production of HRC increased by 14.1% on-year to 8.88mt.
Production of semi-finished products in May amounted to 1.31mt, down by 8.5% on-month and 2% on-year. In January-May, around 7.14mt were produced, up by 5.3% on-year.
