Russia’s first-quarter stainless imports decrease
Russian imports of stainless steel decreased in the first quarter, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to 96,390 tonnes, down by 13.7% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Imports of stainless cold-rolled flat products were down 21.3% in Q1, hot-rolled flats were less by 21.2%, welded pipe were down by 12.7% and primary billet decreased by 81%. Intake of long products was up 27.4%, seamless pipe increased 46% and wire was more by 144%, USSA says wit…
