Flats continue to buck Russia ferrous export downtrend
Russian ferrous products exports decreased in January-August, according to the country’s federal customs data monitored by Kallanish.
Eight-month exports of ferrous products under HS chapter 72 were 26.545 million tonnes, down by -5.6% on-year.
Exports of ferrous products under chapter 72 but excluding pig iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap amounted to 18mt, down by -1% on-year. This suggests exports of steel decreased less than those of raw materials.
