Russia’s car production continues to increase in August
Carmakers in Russia increased production in August compared with the previous month amid the Ukraine war, Western sanctions, and shortages of components.
Production amounted to 50,000 vehicles, higher by 4.2% compared with July and double on a year earlier, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat data.
In July, Russian carmakers produced 47,000 vehicles, up by 53% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
