Russia’s 2022 stainless exports decreases by a third
Russian exports of stainless steel decreased in 2022 amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia’s stainless deliveries last year amounted to only 9,050 tonnes, down by 31.4% on-year, Kallanish notes.
In 2022, exports of seamless pipe fell 18.6%, welded pipe shipments decreased by 40%, hot rolled flat products by 8% and cold rolled products was less by 45.2%.
