Russia’s 2021 stainless exports fall, scrap shipments surge
Russia’s exports of stainless steel decreased in 2021, says national special steel association USSA.
Shipments amounted to 13,160 tonnes, down by 8.9% on-year, Kallanish notes. In December alone, shipments were 1,895t, down 3.8% versus November.
In monetary terms, Russian companies received last year over $163 million from exports of stainless products, up by 7% on-year.
