Russia’s 2020 stainless exports increase despite import growth
Russia increased exports of stainless steel in 2020, according to national special steel association USSA. Exports amounted to 46,003 tonnes, up by 41.7% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The volume of supplies to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries increased by 28.6% to 31,570t and to third countries by 82.3% to 14,450t. The share of the EAEU countries in the total volume of Russian exports amounted to 68.6% and to third countries to 31.4%.
