Russian steel exports by rail rise in January
Exports of steel products by rail from Russia increased 1% year-on-year in January to 1.94 million tonnes, according to Russian Railways.
Around 554,000 tonnes were shipped to Europe compared to 564,000t in December 2023, Kallanish notes. Almost 530,000t were shipped to the CIS countries in January compared to 564,000t a month earlier.
