Russian slab market struggles on low demand
Black Sea slab market activity was slow last week due to holidays in Russia, market participants inform Kallanish.
In Turkey, Russian slab was available at $510-520/tonne cfr, Saudi Arabia-origin at $535/t cfr, and Asia-origin at $550-560/t cfr.
Two sources heard of sales of Russian-origin slab into Turkey at $475/t cfr; however, this was not confirmed by sell or buy-side at the time of publication.
