Scrap duty easing fails to support Russian exporters
The Russian government has approved new rules for the export of ferrous scrap for the next six months, until 30 June. It has reduced the annualised quota slightly, increasing the minimal duty threshold within the quota, and keeping the duty outside the quota unchanged. It has also introduced a permitted export volume coefficient for each region.
