Russia pig iron market sleeps amid summer lull
The Black Sea pig iron market remains quiet with Turkey observing the Eid holidays this week, while Italian customers were also not very active, market participants inform Kallanish.
In Italy, “there was a bullish tone that has recently deflated this week,” a trader says. “Mills’ sales are slow and prices are lower, so their demand is not overly strong, but there is not much merchant pig iron available.”
