Russian carmakers increase production, semiconductor shortages bite again
Carmakers in Russia increased production in June, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
About 122,000 passenger cars were produced during the month, up by 16.9% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-June almost 736,000 cars were assembled, up 44.3% on-year.
Production of trucks in June amounted to 17,000 units, up by 78.9% on-year, and in January-June output reached 85,600 trucks, gaining 59.7% on-year.
