Russian billet rises slightly on higher scrap values
Russian billet suppliers are getting ready for active export sales, taking momentum from higher scrap values. At the same time, the 12 June holiday in Russia and Eid in the Muslim world from 17 June could weigh on business activity, market participants inform Kallanish.
Russian billet offers for June-July shipment stood at $496-503/tonne fob Black Sea, up slightly from $495-500/t fob a week earlier, attributed to costlier Turkish scrap imports.
