Russia slowdown hurts MMK sales, recovery in 2017
Declining demand in key Russian end-use sectors, such as construction, automotive and machinery in 2016 will hurt MMK which is more exposed to the domestic and CIS markets than its Russian peers, Fitch says.
The credit rating agency expects Russia's real gdp to decline -1.5% on-year in 2016. As a result of weak demand, steel consumption will decline by up to -5% this year after declining -8% in 2015.
