Russia redirects stainless exports to EAEU countries
Russian exports of stainless steel decreased in 2022 amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, including to Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia’s stainless deliveries last year amounted to 29,370 tonnes, down by 12% on-year, Kallanish notes.
However, exports to the EAEU increased by 0.5% on-year to 20,320t, while supplies to other countries was only 9,050t, down by 31.4%.
