Russia ramps up car production in September
Carmakers in Russia increased production in September compared with the previous month despite Western sanctions and shortages of components.
Production amounted to 64,000 vehicles, higher by 12.4% compared with August and 2.7 times more than a year earlier, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat data.
In August, Russian carmakers produced 50,000 vehicles, up by 50% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
