Russia leads Turkey's March CR flats import growth
Turkey's cold-rolled (CR) flat steel imports increased in March, led mainly by a rise in procurement from Russia, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
March's imports went up 24.3% year-on-year to 136,825 tonnes, also up from the 100,909t imported in February. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $1,004/t from $931/t a year ago.
