Russia drafts CO2 emissions cap for steelmakers
Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development has developed a draft government decree on the approval of target indicators for reducing greenhouse gas emissions for economic sectors including steel, Kallanish notes.
The ministry proposes to set a national emissions cap of 2.212 billion tonnes of CO2 for 2030 – 70% of production in 1990.
