Russia extends scrap export duties for two months
Russia has extended duties on exports of ferrous scrap and waste for two months from 1 June until 31 July, says the press service of the Russian government.
For scrap exports of up to 540,000 tonnes, the duty will be €100/tonne ($107). If this indicator is exceeded, it will be €290/t. Quotas differ by region, taking into account regional industry specifics.
The duties only apply to exports outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
