Russia doubles scrap exports to Belarus: Ruslom
Russia increased ferrous scrap exports to Belarus in March by 24% on-year to 94,000 tonnes, Russian scrap metal association Ruslom tells Kallanish.
In January-March, export volumes reached 287,000t, which is two times higher than last year. Shipments to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in Q1 amounted to 129,000t, up 39% on-year.
Consumption of scrap in Russia in January-March was down 16% on-year to 4 million tonnes, Ruslom notes.
