Russia decreases stainless steel imports in June
Russian imports of stainless steel increased in January-June, despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine altering market trading patterns, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia’s stainless intake in the first half of the year amounted to 206,990 tonnes, up by 4.8% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, in June alone, stainless imports amounted to 28,950t, down by 24% compared to May.
