Russia decreases domestic railway pipe shipments, exports surge
Russia decreased pipe shipments by rail in May, according to Russian Railways (RDZ) data. The volume amounted to 676,000 tonnes, down by 7% on-year and 1% less on April, Kallanish notes.
Domestic deliveries amounted to 600,100t, down by 2% on-month and 33% less than in May last year.
Exports of pipe by rail from Russia however increased 11% on-month but were down 39% on-year to 55,800t.
