Russia’s April stainless output increases, as imports fall

Russia’s production of stainless steel decreased in January-April, show national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish. Output amounted to 66,200 tonnes, down by 5% on-year. However, in April alone Russian steelmakers produced 16,200t of stainless steel, more by 1.2% on-year but down 2.8% compared with March.
