Russel to sell 60 acres, facilities to Nucor
North American service centre chain Russel Metals plans to sell about 60 acres and 600,000 square-feet of manufacturing space near Blytheville, Arkansas, to steelmaker Nucor for CAD 40 million, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
Russel will sign a 20-year lease for about 200,000 of the sold square footage to maintain its coil processing operations. Nucor will use the remaining space to expand its own operations, Russel says.
