Roy Hill returns to 55 million tonnes/year output
Australia's Roy Hill says it returned to an annualised run rate of 55 million tonnes/year of iron ore exports in April. The miner hit its nameplate capacity only briefly in September 2017 amid issues with weather and with its ore processing, Kallanish notes.
Estimates from Port Hedland data and other miners suggest Roy Hill exported less than 11.7m t of iron ore in the first quarter of 2018, giving it an average run-rate of just 47m t/y. That is down from 53…
