Rizhao Steel signs up to hydrogen steelmaking project
China's Rizhao Steel Group in Shandong province plans to develop hydrogen steelmaking with the China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI), Kallanish notes.
The two sides have agreed to build a 500,000 tonnes/year hydrogen steelmaking plant. A cooperation agreement was signed at Rizhao's plant on 8 May.
